Women Of India Apply Now - Google Women in Engineering Awards (Win Rs 75000)

As part of Google's ongoing commitment to encouraging women to excel in computing and technology, Google has introduced The Google India “Women in Engineering” Award to recognize and reward deserving women students in Computer Science and related majors.

The awards are based on the candidates' academic background and demonstrated leadership. A group of female undergraduate, graduate and PhD student finalists will be chosen from the applicant pool, and award recipients will receive an award of INR 75000 via cheque.




Here are the criteria for the awards:

Candidates must:

Full-time students from recognized institutions
Area of specialization – Computer Engineering or related majors
2nd to final year students from a bachelor's program; all students from a master's or PhD program
Cumulative CGPA of at least 4.0 on a 5.0 scale, 8.0 on a 10.0 scale or equivalent.

Your Application must be received between 1st December 2007 to 31st of January 2008. The award announcements will be in Feb 2008.
